2018 FIFA World Cup

Ah, for those who haven't seen enough football yet: The Asian Games (starting on 18 August in Jakarta and Palembang) also include it. There are both male and female competitions. The men should be under-23.

Australia does not participate. And Indonesia doesn't have a great track record; only bronze in one of the early ('58) editions.

didnt an indo guy just get a gold somewhere on the 100m sprint (to the mall for latest promo)

You’re clearly more disposed to baseball or football but your kids growing up watching and maybe even playing soccer as school’s PE requirement.

What is the dad equivalent to a soccer mom?

My kids range from 50 to 13; narry one other-world footballer among them.

yes, he is the first Indonesian win the world junior (under 20) sprint. No body expect him to win. No Indonesian flag was available at that time.

The Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, said Zohri had made the country proud and ordered two cabinet ministers to arrange for his home to be renovated.

I would send them next door.

Many people donate btw, Hotman Paris was already good for 100 juta.

Christiano Ronaldo moving to Juventus (for €105-112 million, a bargain) has resulted in strikes at a Fiat factory. The company of the president of Juve, is majority shareholder of FCA, there's the link.

Hmm, instead of the complete morning shift (>1700 people) what the union was honing for, it seems only 5 people showed up for waving banners etc. Painful.

There is a shortlist of 18 candidates for the most beautiful goal of the World Championship in Russia, which ended last Sunday.

Up to and including Monday July 23, supporters can vote for their favorite goal on the FIFA website or via the official app.

This is the website: https://www.fifa.com/worldcup/videos/goal-of-the-tournament/

It is quite a cool selection process; you see thumbnails and when clicking, it shows the video of the goal.

ronaldo freekick was 1) excellent 2) saved a point for his team 3) because of the fact it was almost FT and against Spain etc

It will be in top 3 but I reckon one of those half volley ones might one, there were 3 or 4 corkers
