I love them - hate being back in the west and having to use toilet paper. I just don't feel very clean and after all if you got shit on your hand would you just wipe it off with tissue and consider it clean ?? Also toilet paper these days seem to give me a really sore date hole.

I don’t use toilet paper.

I have the Toto sprayer, mounted inside the toilet lid for both my bathrooms in the US. And a portable, battery operated Toto sprayer that I use when traveling, on planes, restaurants and the like.

I really like the sprayers, but often end up with a wet spot on the backside of my trousers. In the US, I'm sure someone would wonder what happened in the bathroom upon seeing the wet bottom. In Indonesia, they must be thinking - good, at least this bule knows how to stay clean after his visit to the WC.

Reminds me of a funny story about a very famous popstar I was with once and somehow the conversation got round to toilet tissue / wet wipes etc - he said smear some nutella on your kitchen floor and try and wipe it off with a dry tissue and see how well you do

He did raise some interesting and amusing points at times on the tour bus
