    I would say that in my experience, looking at the average quality of the graduates and the research programs they have, all of them have VERY disappointing results. The good quality individuals out of the schools have been produced out of nature not out of the nurture of the universities.

    Re:water heater. The short answer is you can't unless the water heater itself is drawing less power. Putting a resistor between it and the electricity supply will just mean less power reach the water heater but the same amount will be drawn from the plug .

    I'd settle for all of us being able to generally receive what is our basic rights... Walk safely on sidewalks, seated and given the menu and order taken at restaurants, drive on public roads without gates blocking the way, etc

    Actually I've had several of those done in Indonesia since 2010. Just that the packaging isn't that nice. But the functions of a Tesla power wall aren't new, it's been around for 20 years or more .
