    I trust EFSA more that FDA. I think corporate lobbying has ruined most of the US government functions and is less prevelant in Europe. Look at food safety standards such as chickens, GMOs etc Oh and i think sugar is just as guilty as lack of exercise in causing obesity.

    For larger amounts i call HSBC and get a much much better rate and then transfer in that currency, but this means you have to different currency accounts in each country.

    When i transfer USD between HSBC accounts in different countries the charge is flat $8 and its instant. Unfortunately if you need to change currencies they have pretty bad exchange rates.

    I dont think normal tourists are the problem - i think it is the extended stay tourists and this could be fixed with clamping down on extending visa on arrivals and also targeting the agents who offer dodgy investment visas.
