EPO and how to get it

Hello again folks, am doing this EPO thing and finally got it sorted with both ex agent and new agent. To make it brief..'paperwork' done, new agent doing the leg work and I go back to Aus and start again. Am so over all the emails from both of them, but it's all sorted. As is usual, nothing in...

    BPJS use

Yes, insurance is an issue. As time progresses we live longer, better living standards etc. But age is a red flag for insurance. I consider growing old as a gift, every day I wake up is a lovely day, some dont get that privilege. Wishing you better health :)

    BPJS use

Interesting.. I am all for supporting the health system etc, even 'bule' prices would be fine by me, as I previously said, I rarely see a Dr. Can count on one hand the times I've taken up a hispital bed. However, as a Registered Nurse for 40 years, I've seen the changes in Health care in...

EPO and how to get it

Yes, it seems that is the way to do this. Funny thing though, ex agent's fees previously were in $US, but now, suddenly offering reduced fees in Rupiah. Any thoughts?

    BPJS use

How did you manage to sign up? I would pay triple the highest cost just to have it! Private insurance is ridiculously expensive.. in my case anyway as I'm a bloody 'healthy as a Mallee bull' oldie! I rarely see a doctor, maybe once every few years for a check up!

EPO and how to get it

Yes, that's true, but I want to 'dump' the old agent before then, and get a new Retirement kitas. I had the thought that I could get the EPO stamp at Immigration myself, OR the new agent do it for me, leave n start again. Bloody minded ex agent keeps emailing me ($$$$ in her eyes etc)

EPO and how to get it

Hello everyone. As I am changing agent/sponsor for Retirement visa ( last one was unreasonably expensive, charged in US$, inefficient etc) I must go offshore and start the process again. This is fine by me. However, I need an Exit Permit Only to cease current Kitas. Can I do this myself? Or...

    Aussie newby Health insurance dilemna

Yes, I'll keep watching to see what happens. I have read your blog too. In Aust everyone over 55 is encouraged to have a FOB test ( faecal occult blood), breast screening etc. Glad I did all mine! I was Reg Nurse, and by all accounts you did well!

    Aussie newby Health insurance dilemna

Yes, the free health system in Australia is medicare. But, if you are not residing in Austraia, after 5 years it is cut off and you must return, reside for a number of years to rejoin! Like all aussies, I paid a % of my income every year, but now as a retiree, residing in Indo, after 11/2018 it...

    Expat Health Insurance Analysis

Ah yes! I see it a bit better now! You are an inspiration! Will take a look at your blog soon too and sleep better! It so bothers me, insurance for my age in general has prohibitive costs! I am determined to stay here, and your info inspires confidence that it wont happen overnight, but it will...

    BPJS use

By 'every Indonesian resident' what does that mean? I have tried to enroll but been denied because I do not work.. am on Kitas retirement visa. Does it mean you need to be a permanent resident/employer/ business resident? I would happily pay 'bule' price to get on BPJS even if I never used it...

Bali retail chain popular with expats goes under

I live in Bali, and it is becoming a nuisance but there are many other supermarkets, but fresh meat is the difficulty. Indomart etc dont stock meats or fresh vegetables. I feel for the employees, steady jobs are hard to find.

    Expat Health Insurance Analysis

How did you establish a self insurance account, I am with BNI and staff were not very helpful. I am yet to ask my 'agent' if this is acceptanle for health insurance and terrified he may reject the idea
