Billiard/Pool/8 Ball in Jakarta

Cork and Screw Country club? Never heard of Blackpond or Acta

Blackpond is right up the road from Cork and Screw. Kind of hidden, but go like you are going to the golf course. Not sure how long it has been around, but it pricy if going for a beer. Food is alright.

EP has 2 tables for pool. I think Treehouse has 2 or 3 tables.

Blackpond Tavern, it is pretty much in the Senayan Golf Course area. (Acta is really next door to it). Nice wood-cabin style place, with quite a few imported (and of course expensive) beers. Although now I can't drink it anyway cause it spikes my blood sugar way too much. I would've liked the place a bit more if not because of the cig smokes...and loud DJ music. Would've been great to enjoy a cold beverage, while looking at the nice golf course, without the thumping beats...

Will have to remember this. Is there much billiards in Bandung?
Yes a few, Siliwangi Sports Center is a serious one, large and clean. There are no girls, but guests. Billard Manhattan is also not bad and at Click Square is a smoky chinese billard place.

There were a few more at Braga Street, but my wife insisted that I stay away from them and their first floor.....

There are a few afterhours pool places dotted around Jakarta with rent by the hour tables. There's one in blok m near pasaraya

Talking of Pasaraya, there used to be a couple of tables in Top Gun, although I'm sure that legendary place has long closed.

In Bali "The Ship" on Teuku Umar in Denpasar has about 30 Regulation size 4.5 'x 9' Pool Tables and one 6' x 12' Snooker Table. Two of those tables are in VIP rooms which also have Karaoke setups and big screen. Hourly rates 42,000 per hour for a table. Unpretentious, but I play there a couple hours early on Saturday & Sunday. I sold a beautiful custom made table before moving to Bali, which broke my heart. I took my beautiful Bert Schrager cue out of moth balls about 6 months ago, after a sabbatical of about 20 years. Now playing better than I ever did, in large part thanks to Dr Dave, who is highly instructive. I favor playing Straight Pool, AKA 14.1 Continuous to 150. Like they played in The Hustler.

The After Hours in Sunter is not bad. But karaoke and billiard/pool are not that great of a match.

Preaching to the choir. Shoot the shot, not the messenger.
I have never been there at night, nor seen either of those VIP Rooms in use.
I had already played there a few times before I even noticed that they were there.
Intimate private party spots in a Pool Hall environment would be how to look at them.
I have a hard time picturing Minnesota Fats and Fast Eddie Felson throwing down in a Karaoke environment. Serious players? Check out that Dr Dave link in my previous post.
I have been playing pool for close to 60 years, and what he does on that end rail overcut throw shot was an absolute eye opener for me. About a week later when it came up in a practice session, and I made it? My chin was on the floor, and the bar had been raised. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it, nor tried it in a million years.
