last week our internet was out from a rat chewing the cable, then this morning the power is out after a squirrel got into the transformer across the road :(

Ah well, here the building got cut off from Internet and TV as the government who was doing a road project literally cut the overhead cables as they were too lazy to coordinate the proper movement of said cables with the concerned suppliers; "when it's not working they'll come quicker".

Was fixed by the end of the day so guess they had a point.

The yearly banjir has started so even in houses in the big cities the invasion of snakes occurs. Besides the population migration of the cockroaches escaping the water in the sewers of course.

Rodents are a problem here in Hawaii too. My house has no problem, but I have two cats. I just had to pay $300 for rodent control for the other two homes on the property. Apparently, it didn't work as two more rats were seen the next day.

A stray kitten showed up at my door this morning. I think I have a job for it.

Rats, I now have them nesting in my car engine space... so any good ideas to keep them out would be ace.
I have stuffed camphor balls in there.

Stuff some kitties under the car? :)

Rats chewing wires can be a huge pain. Take away any food sources nearby. Obviously be careful using poisons because of your other animals.

and then for the second time a drowned/boiled cicak at the bottom of my coffee pot :(

there is only the spout haha
flavour was fine

Only thing worse than finding a worm in your apple is half a worm

I am still fascinated how my apartment floor can just suddenly have 1 dead BIG cockroach lying in the middle of the floor. Like how did it get there, from where, how did it die, and how come at 3 inches long I have never seen it or any others? It's like my maid put it there to prank me or something

for a nominal fee I can dispatch the dead cockroach disposal squad

Oh what a pretty leaf, let me put it in my mouth, says every 3 year old

Critters can be so different from Europe. A tokeh visited us some days ago. After he left, we cleaned very pernickety, hoping he will not return...but he came back twice. Seems to like our home :D

Usually I like tokeh, and the sound he makes. But when he sits somewhere under the sink where an echo is strengthen his sound, he can be really annoying when he decides to scream 'tokeh, tokeh' in the middle of the night :D
