Ok time to channel your inner Nostradamus….so what do you think will happen in 2019? Can be anything such as:

1. Jokowi winning election but only after the country gets dragged through a messy nasty election full of mud slinging and way too much Nasi bungkus politics.
2. Liverpool messing up and losing their lead to Man City in the last few games.
3. Trump not being impeached and still tweeting about the missing emails.... but maybe getting even more crazy about his wall and persecution complex.
4. A series of mini recessions in the US with stock market drops of 15% before the bots kick back in and buy back to just below previous levels.
5. Brexit somehow gets postponed but everyone keeps talking endlessly about it.

Most crazy correct prediction wins some of my increasingly useless gojek points.....

1.Mysterious photos of scantily clad females posing on various aircraft will appear on threads.
2.Puspawarma will invite us all to Hawaii for a house warming party.
3.Bad_Azz will feature on a new TV program called Indonesian Dog Walks with the Stars
4.All Indonesian international airline tickets will incur a 5% plastic tax.
5.A Dutchman will be discovered living in the jungles of Sumatra with a family of blonde haired apes.
6.Expat Indo will enjoy an infusion of new membership seeing regular posting and memberships records.

Nothing of lasting significance in human affairs will occur in 2019.

It seems that none of the "developed' countries have really come to terms with robotization, increasing populations and lack of meaningful employment. Countries such as Australia which brag about increasing jobs and high employment rates are engaging in deception where anybody who has a part time job is regarded as employed. Increasingly more employers are going for part time workers whose weekly package leaves them somewhere on or below the poverty line. Educated graduates continues to pour out from universities and colleges with little prospect of finding long term, secure or meaningful work. The upheavals in France are part of the new decade that will see increasing levels of chaos as the working class, or non working classes vent their anger.

As for Indonesia in particular. It seems to me it all hinges on how the government can stave off fuel price increases and inflation for basic commodities. Organizations such as the World Bank are forever pressuring so called Third World countries to better manage their economies by reducing expenditures in health and subsidies and support for the poorest. This kind of pressure tends to be acted upon by right wing governments which will then use the police and armed forces against demonstrators in the name of national stability and security and fighting terrorism and Communism.

Anyway, happy New Year to you all.

That was last year's prediction; and for vertually every prior year. But hey, thanks for the doom and gloom perspective.

hahaha, love these.
I was asked by a household name if I would be in a film (lead role) he wanted to make - obviously I said yes... that was over a year ago, never heard a thing about it since. Watch this space- but don't hold your breath :D you know how this shit works.

Any budding film makers- by all means hit me up. Zero "acting" experience, but lots of personality & no fear!

Any time. Hey, but I did say Happy New Year.

Okay. How about this.
Several employers will be quite nice to their employees.
Some of the unemployed will find enlightenment.
Petrol will go up but Indonesians will rally in support for the government and say, "Thank you. We understand."

I hope that lightens things up..

My predictions-
Well globally feathers have been ruffled in what were rather calm places, what with the Orange Oaf (my politest name for it) in the WH & Brexit & May & that shambles aka govt in the UK, anything could happen.
I see Putin exercising his muscle a bit more and expanding Russian territory, mainly as there is no-one to stop him. I see (please let this happen!!!!) Orange Oaf being led through baying mobs in handcuffs & being sentenced to 20 years in jail.
I see countles natural disasters affecting thousands of people as per the norm, and increasing as climate change continues to rage its counter-attack on humanity.
I see RI progressing and developing as it has done since I firsat came here, I hope to see better education here and more critiacal thinking mixed with pragmatism.

On a personal level I expect to continue being subjected to lethal gas explosions from my dogs' arses.
Hopes- I hope to continue breathing daily.
