My KITAP will end on May 2019
yesterday i spoke to my agent and told me if I like to have a permanent KITAP the cost will be 70.000.000
I thought it is too much but the agent thinks otherwise saying that they are the cheapest because in other parts of Indonesia they charge even 80 or 85
I live in Bali
I was thinking of doing it again for 5 years and forget the permanent one, at least pay little bit at the time even if will cost more
Any comments on this

Thanks

Well,.would also depend on your age ?
I mean, somebody close to 80 maybe better continue on a yearly base ? Besides that, who can plan so many years in advance ? Many things can happen, concerning the person or the future politics of the country.
It may sound cynical but economically it may make sense ?
PS : I am 65 and on my 1st Kitas... Dont ask me where I will be in 5 years. Maybe here, moved moved, maybe in the eternal hunting grounds.

Perpanjangan KITAP :
a. KITAP Biasa Tidak Terbatas Per Orang Rp. 10.000.000
b. e-KITAP Tidak Terbatas Per Orang Rp. 10.200.000

You could do it yourself and keep the change - 60 jt on some nice deposito account.

Re: Post # 1
After the first 5 year Kitap expires an unlimited Kitap is available. The total Gov't fee (Unlimited + 2 year MERP) is around IDR 12J. but an agent will add his fee....could be a lot if he is the sponsor.
My understanding is at present there is no going back to another 5 year Kitap....the only alternative is to start the cycle again with an ITAS/KITAS for one year et. seq. and, after the third Kitas, apply for another 5 year Kitap.

Re: post # 3.
A Retirement Kitap is mandated to be applied for by an agent...DIY isn't available.

My wife will ask our agent, as she knows him personally, if a 2nd 5 year Kitap is available....and get back on the answer.

Is this a spousal KITAP? If so, the fee is ridiculous. Do it yourself, as already pointed out the official fee with everything included is around 12jt.

Is this permanent KITAP also available for company-sponsored 5-year KITAP holders ? Thanks for any response.

Every time I see a post like this I want to loan out my husband to go do it (-for a fee) or set him up as a visa agent :)
The agents must make a small fortune ripping people off.
Instead of taking a few hours out to learn what to do, people still hand over huge chunks of cash like this, maybe it is because I am from Yorkshire that I can't bear parting with £3000 when I only have to spend £600.

So, OP please, seriously , do yourself a favour. Look at all the posts for renewing your KITAP learn what documents you need, come in here & ask questions about things that you don't understand. We will definitely help out with the answers.
Then do the process yourself. It is not rocket science, it might be a bit tedious & frustrating at times & might take a bit of your time up but not to the extent of being worth £2400. Some of the running around/ translating can be done by a friend/driver/assistant or member of the family to save you time- just pay them a couple of hundred thousand IDR(+/-) for their time.
What you get from it - you learn something, you save a chunk of hard earned cash, you get to know the people at your local immigration office and you get to know the procedures and documents.
AND you get that feeling of satisfaction once it is completed.

If you really want to lose the extra money, donate it to a charity.

I didn't know about this but i need to find out

They might be useless to you... however - had you actually taken the time to point out that your agent is the sponsor, and taken the time to inform us about what type of visa you were on. I wouldn't hyave wasted my time responding to you.

Basic forum etiquette: be clear about what you are asking.
& because you are quite rude- I am glad you have to fork out a shitload of cash- new member or not.

Unfortunately not possible must use the agent
Thanks

Have a nice day

You really should have your husband check into being a agent/ sponsor. Have no idea how hard that would be but I'm sure it' not easy. I would think it would be a great asset here to have a fair and honest person here who can' help us lazy expat at a fair price. I know id be interested.

Also I agree if you are asking questions here , understand that there is a world of difference between work , spousal, retirement and tourist visa , ktap and KITA, so please state which one you are asking questions about so you can receve the best possible info here.

At present, after completing the first 5 year Kitap, you have to apply for the unlimited extension..thus cannot 'go back' to getting a repeat 5 year Kitap. At least that's the general understanding... but my wife is looking to clarify.

Btw I also think you were rude to B_A and owe her an apology. B_A spent her useful time exploring all her ideas on a wild goose chase because you were reluctant to offer your pertinent details for us to work on. I also nearly didn't bother replying for that very reason....and I note others are also replying incorrectly to your question because of your reluctance....which is causing confusion for you.

@soltantoio A user has volunteered their time and effort to give you a response. The fact that it does not pertain to your situation because YOU failed to provide all pertinent information is not their fault. There is no justification for your rude answer. Considering that you are new around here, I will let this go with just a recommendation to examine your attitude.

If you have a shit load of cash why bother asking the question, people are trying to help and give advice, just grow up

Perhaps Squirrel could adopt a fee schedule proportionate to the degree of rude, self-important behavior exhibited by the potential client.
