Help registering baby of Dutch father at the Dutch embassy

Hi everyone, I'm an Indonesian and I have a baby with a Dutch guy, we are not married but he willing to help us to registering our child to the Dutch embassy,
What do we need to do?

As I understand it doesn't mean your child will be Dutch but may help one day when he/she reaches 18

If the baby isn’t born yet he can go to the embassy and “acknowledge” the child, this must be done before birth and that way he/she will get dual citizenship.

Come to think of it I believe there are ways for the child to become a Dutch citizen if he acknowledges/recognizes him/her before the age of 7, best way would be for you to look at the Dutch IND website: ind.nl

Alternatively you could also both visit the Dutch embassy or consulate to gain information on the procedure.

Hello again everyone,..

thanks for the replies, i am checking on some of the links above, and i also wonder if someone has the same experience like me. Some part are still a bit confusing, first its all in dutch, i can read here about old blog, but not sure the search words to find old information here.
I work 60 hours a week, single mom of two year old..Thank you for any help further anyone can give
