How does one say 'covfefe' in Indonesian?
History was made today, as Trump tweeted the only thing I ever expect to chuckle at. And I felt like a human I can identify with wrote it. I'm referring to his follow-up tweet that said, "Who can figure out the true meaning of "covfefe" ??? Enjoy!"
The follow-up tweet was humorous and (unintentionally, I suspect) sweetly self-effacing.
Now we return to our regularly scheduled program of horrifying, narcissistic garbage from POTUS. Ugh.
It appears President Trump is about to announce withdrawal from the Paris Agreement on climate control......
I believe it is cooling now, which is why they can sign.
- NASAThis makes 2016 the third year in a row to set a new record for global average surface temperatures.
No doubt about it, there is climate change. The argument between many scientist is just what causes it. The Earth, in it geological record has shown a period of roughly 25,000 years between it's Ice glacial periods. Currently the earth is near the center of this cycle so warming would be the thing along with weather patterns that come along with it. It has speeder up or slowed down. The Earth causes the majority of this cycle all by itself. Some say it is man caused. If that were true, it be the first warming and it is far from that. Man may contribute but it is a very minute amount. Man is definitely contributing to polluting the earth but if you look at air pollution, it would be blocking out some sunshine and that would cause cooling. But not near the amount of cooling a volcano or two would cause. For me, yes the Earth is warming. No, it is not controllable. I would just tell the family to move to higher locations because where you live if in one of the threatened areas, is going to disappear. Maybe trump will just build that wall around the entire US.If given the option between trusting scientists or politicians or conspiracy theorists, I pick the scientists every single time.
The average joe on the street can't fathom the extent of the primary data collected by scientists to arrive at their present consensus. Only conspiracy theorists or religious zealots with no scientific background can arrive at the conclusion that climate change is not real.

Yes, 3% of scientists.Incorrect, plenty of scientists will tell you exactly what Vocal Neil has. And BTW - I do have a science background.
The climate changes on it's own, it has done so over the millennia and nothing that humans can do will stop that.
Well I think they have given up on Global Warming and they now concentrate on CO2 levels which are at just over 400 ppm much lower than the 1000 ppm they used to be and way lower than the highest recorded levels.
The problem I see with climate change is that it is the new Y2K and a huge industry and Al Gore's millions have grown up around it. Wind this and solar that. Don't mention climate change in your grant submission? You don't get any money. Varying alternative facts appear so it is difficult to pin don the defacto correct information.
Electric cars for all? Where does all the power come from? Sure it will be all clean in the city but someone has to have a powerstation or wind/solar farms next door.
Sure the climate might be changing but it has done that before. It has probably never been constant. Most of the heat comes from that large yellow ball in the sky. But is anyone measuring changes in that? Currently not enough power generated in the US for everyone to have an electric car and the rest of the world?
Yes, 3% of scientists.
Nevermind where or how you arrived at that number, but 3% or 30% means your original statement is no longer valid. It is not a "i believe the scientists vs not scientists." Now it is a choice of choosing your scientists that you wish to believe.
And as VocalNiel has pointed out scientific researcg does not get funding unless it is about climate change.... therefore this claim of 97% if scientists believe in human induced run away global warming is quite clealy a biased group
