Ahok's Blasphemy Trial Verdict - 9 May 2017

if such thing really happen and Ahok out of jail.....

we need to be ready for horizontal clash with radicals clowns. I'm so up against those brainless zombies

We listened to Jokowi's interview on MetroTV last night and my wife assured me he has his finger on the pulse of the nation. Given Rizieq will not return and Jokowi lining up the responsible Muslim associations and, without doubt the TNI, Police and the general population, I doubt those radical elements will even try...and if they do it will be the beginning of the end for those 'brainless zombies'.
This is maybe the connivance I alluded to earlier.

My thought: the decision not to appeal- nice move - definitely throws a ringer into the "fight" .
Very smart thinking & I have garnered some idea of how things really work- so I see this as a means to diffuse the suituation and hopefully let it slide into the background a bit so that Ahok can get on with any time he has to serve in the best way possible for him. On a personal level for him, continuing the fight might just be a bit more than he can be arsed with as he has taken a low blow and it has scuppered the life he had. If he is forward thinking enough he will probably have considered what awaits him on release. & I am pretty sure he does not wish to exit jail or his penalty to walk back in to another fight.

So the motivation to get his head down and let the limelight go shine elsewhere has to be strong.
Merely my opinions & not with any facts- it is entirely possible that someone somewhere has suggested to him to just do the time and have a nice set-up when he comes out so long as he doesn't rock the boat anymore. Ya know, in the interest of rebuilding the unity of the country and all that.

I don't understand you...I had your link translated and it is about the migration of people posited by General Gatot.

Why would I be disappointed and what has this to do with what I wrote in post #123?
Earlier he made a poem about locals who are like guests in his own soil, he stated that Jake, character in his poetry, did not understand that situation...

Now he warn people about massive migration, we all know he meant from the mainland, that could put native aside from their own soil....

Still don't get what strings the guy trying to pull?

No I don't...sounds like you have a conspiracy on your mind which doesn't translate to me...however, be your own guest with that

Of course things have been discussed on the highest levels and promises have been made. We'll see in one year or so...

This is interesting: More and more Indonesian businesses like restaurants who spoke out against Ahok, get boycotted. Esp. abroad (Netherlands, Australia, ...). Besides being killed on FB of course.

The lady with her warung/Indonesian restaurant in The Hague has made some amazingly stupid remarks in the trend of "the leader should be Muslim, then corrupt is not an issue".

Is there also a boycott going on here? I can only think of Indovision though.

I agree....that is the way to go...hit them where it hurts...in the wallet.
It's the same with those radical groups...where do they get the funds to do what they do...if we find that source a lot will be known and remedies applied.
The USA got rid of the mafia the same way...not by using violence....they used taxation law and authority.
Maybe Sri Mulyani learned a thing or two from her job with the World Bank.

Problem is, the tax office is not mafia-free.

You are correct....... but cleaning-up Indonesia has to start somewhere. It took a while for the USA to get rid of the Mafia, including the assassination of the Kennedy brothers, but they got it done.

There was a restaurant here which claimed they had to close since they were bullied but now I heard they were already on the brink of bankruptcy before.

You've got a point there, but maybe they should start with the mafia inside the tax office. After all, we need a clean broom to clean the house.
