Press release Immigration 🎫 🛂

What I’ve seen is very different; with an ITAP reporting, the MERP available was ‘unlimited’ and the shorter versions were not even selectable. And the price for that version was 8 juta. Which, in the long run, might be cheap or expensive depending if they keep the ‘milk cow’ or add it to the ITAS and ITAP.

It was approved after a single (working) day. If it takes much longer something is very very wrong and you need to see in the eVisa system what’s going on.

We have been in contact with the immigration office and the expectation of 30 days was set. I believe, since this is a conversion from KITAS to KITAP, then I must go through a longer approval process. Conversion will give me 5 years on a KITAP via spouse. MERP matches with 5 years too.

In the attached picture, the first line is the 5 year spousal KITAP. The second is the MERP for 5 years. The MERP is added automatically when choosing the appropriate visa.

Yes it’s a very different situation.

But as noted before, you can see the system automatically seems to select a MERP duration based on the permit. Not a lot of choice there.
