Aikido is a form of martial art that is created by Morihei Ueshiba in the early 20th century. He used elements from previous martial arts he had studied to create it, for example Daito Ryu Aiki Jiujutsu and Katori Shinto Ryu Kenjutsu. Aikido knows no competition, because it emphasizes on building our health, physically and spiritually, to have the ability to subdue violent attack, and also to improve our humanity, yet still through realistic training simulating real life situation instead of any competition match. As such, it is quite interesting to study and practice Aikido, since instead of merely trading punches and kicks, there we are taught on how to harmonize (yes, believe it or not) with our assailants, and yet still emerge victorious. Now, that’s a paradox, isn’t it? Why don’t you just come and try it for yourself
