Where to go to in Bali to extend 60 days visitors visa?

I read that it is not possible to use agents for visa extensions in Bali anymore. Where would I have to go in Bali to get a 30 day extension for my 60 days tourist visa? I heard it's possible to do this up to 4 times if needed. Thanks!

If you are near Denpasar, you can go to:

You heard correct, you can extend your tourist visa for 30 days each up to 4 times. Try to do this at least 7 days before it expires every time.

When you get to the office above, go straight in past all the parked cars. There should be signs. If not, it's the big building with lots of people waiting inside...

The left side is for Indonesians to get their passports, the right side for foreigner visa services. Make sure to grab a queue number. They will call you to the window and just ask the forms for tourist visa extension. There is normally a list on the wall detailing all the required supporting documents, but if not, ask them what they need. They speak passable English, so not to worry.

Fill out form, hand in copies of documents needed and photos, then you will be given a receipt to come back and pay. After you pay (Rp 300,000 for the extension, and Rp 55,000 for photo), you will be given another receipt and a date to come back (probably the next day). On this day you don't need to take a queue number, instead give the receipt to the guy in the last window. Then they will call you to take pictures. You can then have your passport back.

The last time I attended the immigration office, the officer informed me I have to make my visa extension application at the immigration office that fell within the specific area of my local Bali address. That is, I was living in Ubud and was trying to apply at the Jimbaran office which I was told wasn't allowed. I then just got a new form and changed the address to suit. I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue before and I certainly had never come across it. Perhaps I just got a difficult immigration officer that day.

The other thing I wanted to mention was the Ngurah Rai office had moved to Jimbaran at the time I was due to make a visa extensionbut google maps and even the immigration web site itself hadn't changed the address details to the new address which you'll find in the following link with a map.

This is a good point. But it is usually the Jimbaran office that is picky, since they are so busy. Any reason to toss out an application.

So if you live anywhere South of the Airport, and Kuta, you can use the Jimbaran office shown in that link. All others should go to Denpasar office. North Bali people should go to Singaraja.

I think you can submit the application for her, but she will need to come in for photo/fingerprinting.

According to the updated Immigration Indonesia website they don't seem to call it a 60-day Tourist Visa anymore...they call it a Visit Visa and looks like it requires a guarantor (sponsor)...much like the old Sosbud. Also, it now says it's extendable 5 times for 30 days each extension.

From the Gov't website.....'A holder of Visit Visa is given up-to 60 days stay and can be extended in Immigration Office for 5 (five) time, each extension will be given another 30 days stay.'

The old 60 day Tourist Visa didn't need a guarantor but was not supposed to be extendable. In Bali, many managed to have extensions by providing a local sponsor as the visa No. was the same as a Sosbud, and maybe the Immigration Officer was fooled, or.....didn't care.

It appears that type of Visa may no longer be available...or am I misreading the regulations?
