What happened following the Raid on Blok M.?

I've not been there, but wow would you know what people call it???

Here people refer to the local brothels as 'Blok M', in homage to the nationally infamous Jakarta Blok M.

.. you should name your local brothels after Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy.

Why name them after a Bus Terminal.?

No.. sorry.. most people do not make the connotations you do.

Most people associate Blok M with the Bus Terminal, Blok M Mall, Pasaraya.. etc.

You obviously have a different agenda. Nothing wrong with that and each to his own.

Just curious.. where were you "popping into" in Blok M on a Monday afternoon. Top Gun doesn't open till the evening.

I specifically meant in regards to going out, not shopping, eating, going to the bus terminal, etc. I'd assumed that was clear due to the nature of the original post, but I guess not.

I used to go to Everest. Only place that was ever open early afternoon. Overpriced drinks and all that, but there was rarely anyone there and it has a relaxed atmosphere—at least in the afternoon. I don't venture to The Blok any more at night or at the weekends. It's just not worth the hassle.

Yes i remember Everest. Sadly closed now i think.

Then there was Sportsman , used to be open in the afternoon.. also shutdown.

And not forgetting the mongers out there, the Klub was a great afternoon hangout. Gone.
