He claims basically that he was not allowed into Indonesia because he had no return ticket. Now in this situation I've seen/heard people just buying a cheap ticket to Penang or wherever and job done. But no, apparently that wasn't an option so he spent 10 days in the airport before being allowed to leave to Thailand where he just flew back to Jakarta again.

It seems like some kind of stupid stunt. You kind of wonder if it is all true.

What a crock of shit that article was. Trying to paint it like it was somehow the Indonesia's fault that this idiot was inadmissible.

For that matter he is already in violation of his stay in Indonesia, even the article acknowledges this inadvertently:

There is nothing bizarre about the requirement that a tourist show proof of means of leaving the country at the end of their visit. This is done by virtually every country on earth. He obviously did not have the means to leave since he had to get stuck at the airport for 10 days. Also kudos to airport officials for not taking bribes.
