Hi everyone,

I'm going to be in Jakarta for the last couple of games of the 6 Nations Rugby competition and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions of the best places in the city to watch them. I'll be based in Kelapa Gading, but I'm more than happy to face the traffic in the afternoon to make sure that I'm in a decent pub for the rugby in the evening should people mainly have recommendations for Kemang/Pondok Indah etc.

I'm mainly an England fan but happy to watch with anyone who is a good laugh and enjoys the game.

Cheers,

Lee

I recommend Murphys or Eastern Promise (both in Kemang) for viewing the 6N

Eastern Promise for poms, Murphys for God's own team.

Thanks for the input Gemima.

Would 'god's own team' be the ABs William King? I'm an England fan, so sounds like Eastern Promise for me. Not too worried about Australia at this point, not even Scotland are... But, England vs ABs in November will be a really interesting game before the RWC next year!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the 6 Nations is a NH competition...

Obviously, 6N is a NH competition. But POM is a SH term (well, Aus and NZ)... And your use of vague language makes it hard to understand your leanings as a fan... Not really an issue of 'correction', more one of elaboration. I figured you were a kiwi because not many people are really willing to admit being a wallabies fan these days... Saying that, that level of shame could easily make you a Welshman...

LOL. ok, fair enough. I'll come clean, I am a Wallabies fan, as painful as it is to admit. But when it comes to 6N I follow the men in green, on account of my ma is Orish.

But then again, this advert helps to explain the passion.

Haha I'd forgotten about that video. It's pretty a pretty accurate reflection of supporter dynamics back home and certainly explains a successful season for Wales! :p ... I think the England vs Ireland game will be really interesting this year. Without having the calendar in front of me I think it's the last game for both teams. Hopefully, we can get the job done at Twickers! I can't really blame you for getting into NH rugby, considering the rollercoaster ride that is a Wallabies season these days :)
