There are better places. It's just that this reddit is about Indonesia and is in English. The "other place" is also officially mentioned over there so I thought we needed to balance things out

I also posted on Kaskus. Other expat forums have guidelines to prevent this sort of "advertising".

Hahah I had no idea- so why is the damn site blocked then (I assume it is something to do with Indonesia's censorship regs)?

Yes, censorship. Some people posts "p0rn" there, same as Tumblr.

So for a tiny percentage of explicit content, Indonesia is missing out on the largest message board in the world.

It seems like nowadays, whether in Indonesia or China, a VPN is a must have to access all of the Internet.

BTW - the link / method atlantis posted took me to a place that told me to beware security error/ breach or whatever. A proceed at your own risk kinda thingy.

After seeing Atlantis was banned I typed in "expat Indonesian forum Atlantis" and found this forum through his profile link 3rd down the first page.

Wow... that's good news. Making it third on the first page ain't bad. However I think it all depend on the choice of words you input. With "Expat Forum Indonesia Atlantis" we are only featured on the middle of the second page, which is already much better than a couple of weeks ago when we were still at the sixth page.

Good news, today (from Canada) I type in Google "forum expat indonesia" and this website come out as second after LIIF.

7th if I search only "forum Indonesia"

for "expat Indonesia" it was not on the first page (was on the second)

We are looking at attracting quality contributors and for this we need visibility and traffic.

From the very beginning an unanimous (and spontaneous) consensus has merged among us: we don't give a rat's ass about getting the money back of the money each of us has invested or will invest. We have done so (creating this forum) for not being subjected to very poor administration and to offer the community the tool it deserves.
