Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)

I would just like 10 to 15 minutes to power my computer (350W) and my printer just in case it's in use. Don't think I would need much for this. Would just like to power down myself instead of letting PLN do it for me.

You can easily get good small UPS for PC desktop In Jakarta from USD 50 - 150, typically rated 600 - 1000 VA. Certainly not for hours back-up.

For the power spikes and such you need a voltage regulator which is also found in the UPS. But for 5+ hours you do need a genset. So a combination is ideal; visit MD for the first, Lindeteves for the second and dedicated voltage regulators (In Kenari you will find both but with iffy quality. Forget ACE and Pongs.)
