Travel insurance for Indonesians abroad?

What travel insurance does your Indonesian friend use when he/she is going abroad?

I've found one that has quoted 1.2 jt /month which seems a bit steep.

I have axa insurance and pending travel this Sunday (I am off for 45 days). I got insurance from them as this is a long stay and anything can happen.

Abroad is a rather broad term....

You'll likely find different rates for SE Asia compared to US or Europe.

That's true Jaime. I'm looking at Europe in this case.

Seems like a good option as well. Haven't read the fine prints but the Regular cover seems to be slightly less compared to AXA but the fee is also lower. Thanks CaturMuka!

I have used Zurich Indonesia previously. They charge around Rp 2.2 juta for 1 year coverage, but only allow 90 days/trip

This is more of an emergency travel insurance/medical insurance, and does not cover preexisting conditions. Covers medical up to USD 100,000, evacuation and repatriation etc. They also throw in travel stuff such as baggage loss, trip cancellation etc.

Unfortunately (or rather, fortunately) I have not had a chance to check out their claims process. Check out the link below (English available).

I took my family to Vietnam for a week and that was around 500,000 so 1.2 for Europe seems ok... depending on how long you are there. Also watch the limits.... Initially I was offered something around 100.000 but with very low caps.
