Stone the crows. How will this go down in Bali?

All these countries and private companies and individuals who want to invest here i.e steal the lithium and uranium should be encouraged strongly to contribute to building such an incinerator on an island near SG so they can chip in also and share it and nearer for the boats to deliver the construction material and later also the waste material

Do you understand that the local government is not capable to handle this issue? What composting are you talking about? Soon the island will float in garbage. Bali needs processing facilities for garbage with proper filters if incinerators are in question to not pollute and intoxicate the population.

With the collected money from the tourist tax the problem should be long time solved.

6-12 months of military government or any

other appointed person by the central government with extraordinary authorisations would be beneficial

Time to bring out the incinerator man @Wisnu . Your project did not gain the traction it deserved on this forum, how is it going?

These are the incinerators without filters. Now cancer will spread among the surrounding population.
I shake my head....
Filters can be installed. Like was done on coal plants in the West a some years ago.
But, yeah it cost money...
You have to die from something anyway...
All the man here smoke from 13 y old ! Lung cancer will probably get them first ?

In Europe one cigarette is the same price as a packet here
One of the most obvious things to do here is make cigarettes minimum 50rb a packet of 20/18/16 etc

All that extra tax revenue AND healthier for the nation, stop kids smoking, make it 18+ plus to smoke (16 in Europe)

But no, can't do that here, because all the huge tobacco families also knee deep in all the politics and donations.

Sigh.

Don't get me started on the stupid road planning here either, where you have a U turn from the other side filtering into the queue for our side waiting to U turn to their side. (if you follow my maths)

Let us queue to turn right, and then people from other side turn right into our side AFTER

It flows naturally as it would be continuous, there is already a break in traffic

I'm sitting in the queue as people join from opposite just to make my queue longer while I am only waiting to turn right in 50m lol

Isn't there some special bule position available with Om Prabs for minister of common sense, someone just to say hey Pak, great idea, tapi this way even more efficient, lol.

You can't be the yes man, but you can subtly suggest improvements, it worked for me in UAE with Maktoums, he respects you more even if the rest of ring kissers get upset, he doesn't want another one saying yes Sheikh, he wants someone to make better suggestions but obviously respectfully.

Believe it or not I managed that art quite successfully, despite what you read here lol

Dealing with Arabs, Saudis, etc they really not fussed about pinstripe suits, ties, powerpoints in Arabic, you not walking out the door with a cheque after 1 meeting or even 5 - it's 6 months of tea, coffee, family chit chat until 3a.m until they trust you and you are a brother, then that one night comes when they say hey show us that proposal again, let's get that thing signed and started today now.

Sorry to be lebay and curhat, but that philosophy works here, what honestly is the point of Amcham, Britcham, all the bule networking events which honestly are just full of ayam and fat old bule blah blah chatting up the teenage waitress and drinking mugs of bintang lol

We are in Indonesia, if you want to succeed and do biz here, surely better to be in Indonesian circles, they are the ones who make the decisions and can help in the future.

Ok moving on. Lol

I'm not a businesswallah, but all that makes sense to me. I've never seen the point of bule networking, and in my own small way, the only way I've ever effected change has been through local contacts.

Though I do like the odd mug of bintang, so I am torn...
