No doubt about it... living is a health hazard.

A news report this morning says a deadly virus, the Nipah, virus, has surged in India and Bangladesh. The virus has a mortality rate of 40 to 75%. Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia are doing temperature checks at airports for passengers arriving from India. Given that the incubation period is from 4 to 21 days then obviously this will not be completely successful in stopping the spread. Of late Bali has seen increasing numbers of tourists from India.

I think these kinds of things will keep popping up every year or two. Ebola had a scare. Then, it was monkeypox (to which news organizations tried to majorly inflate the size of the population that was acutally vulnerable). Now, Nipah virus. In reality, the only thing that has had anywhere close to the impact of covid was the original SARS. And it was a tiny fraction of the global impact of covid.

Keep the population scared in order to control them....Covigedon was the perfect example !
