Hi.
Does anybody knows about this Bridging stay permit extension for 60 days . Does it apply for my case of C1expire in a week and that i want to request Itas retirement visa as i did before . Do i need to leave the country when c1 ends or i can stay and is bridging here in my case accepted or not by immigration and am i late to apply for Bridging now thar i have one week left . The whole point is i dont want to leave and back because my back hurts me much if i di travel like that. Is there if i am not accepted for this that i can apply for extension emergency of just one month after rhe end of c1 last itk

The C1 to Retirement ITAS transition is a common method, avoiding the need to leave. I just think that 1 week is very tight.

Does anybody knows about this Bridging stay permit ... Does it apply for my case of C1 (Tourist single entry Visit Visa)
No (see Regulation below) .

The Transitional Visit Stay Permit for the purpose of changing Immigration Stay Permit...is granted based on an application submitted by the foreigner, sponsor or responsible person...
(2) The application...may be submitted for:

b. Foreigners holding Temporary Stay Permits/ITAS; or

I think you could have 2 options but now you may have only 1 option to not leave Indonesia :
a) extend your present 60 days Tourist Visit Stay Permit , if you didn't extend it the second time yet , as you can extend it up to 180 days (see below the time frame to do it) ;
b) maybe you could convert your present Tourist Stay Permit into the Retirement KITAS , but not now as your Permit expires in a week .

PerMen no.22 Year 2023 - free translation
Article 97 (revised by PerMen no.11 Year 2024 but no change)
(2) Applications for extension of a Visit Stay Permit ... may be submitted at the earliest 14 days up to before the Visit Stay Permit expires.

Article 166
(1) Foreigners may be granted a conversion from a Visit Stay Permit to a KITAS upon application.
(2) The application referred to in paragraph (1) must be submitted no later than 30 days before the Visit Stay Permit expires.

So i came in with visitor or tourist visa c1 not Voa . May be i can request emergency extension of few weeks because of medical review with my doctors here is not finished and indo mri can not be read in other countries different program.

Visa C1 is for 60 days + 60 days + 60 days , VOA is for 30 days + 30 days .

Ask your local Kantor Imigrasi (I don't know) .

But why you don't do a normal 60 days extension instead ? Its official cost is only Rp1 million (you doing it yourself) .

The bridging stay permit (Izin Tinggal Keimigrasian) should apply in your situation, but timing is critical. A few things to know:

You need to apply for the bridging permit before your C1 expires, not after. If your C1 lapses first, you're technically overstaying, which creates a different (and more expensive) problem. With one week left, you're cutting it close but it may still be possible.

The bridging permit is designed for exactly your scenario — you're transitioning from one permit type (C1) to another (ITAS retirement) and need to remain in-country while the new application is processed. Immigration generally accepts this, but it's handled at the local Kantor Imigrasi level and some offices move faster than others.

What I'd recommend:

Go to your local immigration office tomorrow, not next week. Bring your current C1 documents, passport, and whatever paperwork you have started for the ITAS retirement application. Explain the situation in person. They can advise on the bridging permit timeline and whether you can file before your C1 expires.

If you're working with a visa agent or sponsor for the ITAS, contact them immediately — they should be handling the bridging permit as part of the transition process.

Don't wait on this. Every day matters when you have a week left.

You need to apply for the bridging permit before your C1 expires ...
So please show us the legal source of your information , as your website states : "... Primary sources (highest priority): official laws/regulations, government portals, and official regulation texts where available ..." (from https://balipropertyrules.com/editorial-policy/) .

By the way , take a look at the Article 94A of PerMen no.11 Year 2024 in post no.3 above .
With one week left, you're cutting it close but it may still be possible ...
And please consider that Dexmexdexm had one week left more than 10 days ago .
