Many sellers on Shopee enforce a No Unboxing Video? No Refund! policy. Which really sucks esp. if you’re by yourself and it‘s complicated to unpack.
It doesn't matter how big the 'Wajib Video Unboxing' sticker is; ultimately, a seller cannot enforce anything because it is someone at Shopee who decides whether you get your money back. And making an unboxing video of your order is not (always) a requirement to resolve a dispute. Unfortunately it was, in your case.
Since we are sharing anecdotes... my wife had a dispute with a seller last month regarding a garment with damaged fabric. It appeared the damage was caused by heat. When my wife confronted the seller about it, she accused my wife of ironing the garment at too high a temperature. She had a packing video (yes, these people exist) and a "Wajib Video Unboxing" sticker on the package. The seller did not agree to the return of the garment because we didn't have an unboxing video and she claimed my wife had caused the damage. Because we couldn't resolve the matter via chat, we filed a complaint requesting Shopee for a refund upon the return of the garment. We got the money back that very evening.
