Me too...so much in Bali I feel sorry for those who came to get a suntan...good for bar profits I believe.

I even contemplated going back to Vancouver which normally has rain...but they are under a few feet of snow at this time.

Craziest weather patterns I've ever seen.

Last year was dryer then normal so the shift is just making up for lost moisture. Haven't seen any complaints about low water wells and while there are some fires, nothing like last year. I guess there are some benefits too.

All this drizzle reminds me of an English summer, how depressing

I actually am enjoying some of the rain/light rain. No reports of flooding but I am not exactly scanning the news.
Davita you lived in Vancouver for some time, I believe they usually don't get snow but more rain in the winter?

I agree with Daniel I enjoying most of the time this rain, don't forget its RAIN season, the older people from the Kampung says that it is now like the "good old days" not like the last few years with only a short rain season and than to dry.
an other good thing with this "normal" rain season is that most of the time there is strong N or NW winds wich reduce considerably the noise of the mosques on the south side of our house. I hope it stays like this until after Idul Fitri ..:heh:

Is not England depressing, rain or shine?

Hahaha...I haven't lived in UK, my motherland, since 1975 but have to agree (hurrah) with Anglian and Waarmy...it was always fffing depressing to me. The people bitch all the time; foreigners are shite; the gov't is no bloody good and the price of everything too much and....OK, OK.... I'll stop and go have a beer....cheers!

It hasn't rained where I live in Bali today....not yet. The thunder last night was ominous.

Re: Daniels post #6
Yip ...Vancouver rains a lot but rarely gets deep snow. I think this year must be the worst but, as I'm not there, it's anecdotal info from my wife's pals who are now envious of her 'selfies' sipping sparkling wine in the pool...don't you hate those people who lalala over others.

Well I hope this is the worst winter in many years. Then hopefully next winter will be better. Around the Vancouver area there are a lot of nice things to see and plenty of good restaurants. If a person is into some hiking there is also beautiful scenery. No place is perfect but overall it should be a pretty good area to live in.
At least in the tropics the rain is always warm, unlike England or Vancouver.
