Renewal merp kitap still valid

Hello, I'm glad to have found this forum. I hope someone can help me.

I am married to an Indonesian. My kitap is valid until September 2026. My Merp stamp is valid until September 2023. Do I need to renew my Merp now or is it possible to renew next year if I plan to go abroad? If I don't renew the merp now, will there be any consequences for my kitap? Or does it make it more complecated to get merp next year if it already not valid anymore?

No problem for not keeping the MERP up to date as long as you don't need to travel for an emergency. A MERP only takes a couple of days to get so most of the time not a problem but I do keep mine up to date in case of emergency.

Just wondering because my passport has two permanent residency stamps. 1 valid until 09/06/2026 and 1 with registration date 09/06/2023, that confuses me a little.

When is your pasport's expiry date? They are different. The upper one is for the validity of your KITAP. The lower one is when you need to report your existence. I don't understand why you have two stamps. My husband is on his second kitap now and his passport is not even stamped. He's got a little stiker stating his permit date and validity.
I do however, have to report his existence in 2026 .

Its my first kitap since 2021
There are two different numbers in the two permissions the first is the number of my kitap. So I was thinking the second stamp is for merp.
I did already two times to Germany and back with this stamps...

Ah. As said, my husband is on his second kitap, so there is no expiry date. He only had report date xxx 2026, means i have to send a letter to immigration and update his sticker.

Yours, however, requires your sponsor to submit the said letter to report your existence before September 2023. I am not sure what letter as i am also in the dark for now.
As for your MERP, just extend it when you know you're going to travel. I extended my husband's MERP recently because he had to go back to his home country. If not, we could not be bothered with it.
