Hi All. Any idea if renew KITAP do I need 1 month before expire to renew or can I do it much ealier? If so by how many month? Thanks.

Technically you can start the process on the last day when your KITAP IS STILL VALID. But me myself I prefer to start all those jobs which require renewing documents few weeks in advance. If the time is right nothing is happening in life and you have extra time why not? Later on you may find yourself in some medical emergency, surgery ot simply way too sick to visit Kanim.

Mine expires 1stApril so I’m thinking I should start the process beginning 1st March KTP expires then too, so that process will have to be done as well

I think the last guideline was it could be done as early as 3 months ahead of time.

I find that it also depends on which KanIm you're dealing with. For example, for me, I live in Lombok, and we are advised to submit applications for KITAS I, KITAP I and KITAP II to KanIm Mataram 3 months prior to the expiration date of the previous visa, as processing for those visas takes 7-8 months. I realise many of you are dealing with KanIm in Java or Bali, so just my perspective from outside those areas. :)

By law, you can start three months prior to the expiration of the ITAP.

Hi. Does anyone know a RELIABLE phone number or even a contact person at General Immigration, Jkt? I dropped my paper for KITAP 2 at Kanwil 2 weeks ago. Because of,a heart problem I have to go to Singapore. regularly. Therefore I would like to know the status/progress of my application for which I paid already around 11 mio incl MERP. Thanks a lot

Hi Dr Michael Bear,
I have personally no contact nor phone number to share but I am surprised by your post.

Some time ago you wrote that your KITAP was due for renewal on march 2018 (source: https://forum.expatindo.org/threads/kitap-renewal-fee.703/#post-11880), which is 4 months ahead from now.

By law (ps 65 [3] Permenkumham 27/1014) and as I was stating in this very thread at #6, a KITAP extension application can be submitted at best 3 month prior to the expiration of the KITAP, which if I believe the post you made some time ago, should be some time in January 2018. How did you manage to apply for the extension 4 to 5 months prior to the expiration of your ITAP?
Thanks.
