This works for me, especially during the hot/dry season here.

Having a hot cup of coffee/tea in the heat of the day cools me off. Best I can work out is that the temp of the drink is hotter than ambient. So hot fluid inside, skin feels relatively cooler on the outside.

Also, sucking on ice cubes help to cool one down in the heat of the day.

A cold shower will definitely give some relief.

Have a nice day.

Do what the locals do? Move slower or ride around on a motorcycle?

To answer Minuteman,

The feeling of hot / cold comes from the temperature difference between your body and the environment.
In the heat drinking hot tea will increase your body temperature, hence decrease this difference.
Some animal have "cold" blood, hence adapt easy to the cold.

At least, thats what I remember learning or reading....
Personally have always.worked outside on construction sites between minus 10C and +35 / 40 without major problems. Again, I am a "light weight" frame, so I dont suffer to much in the heat.
Otherwhile, cold Bintang usually does the trick !

Actually spicy/hot foods cause a person to sweat and this cools down the body.
