Same as when other countries did it, included France who did a 100 for 1 redomination in the 60's
There were "centimes" before and there were "new centimes" after.
Petrol, mail stamps, elec, water, all had centimes.

When Italy switched to Euro, 1.936,27 Lira became 1 euro.
A 2000 for 1 redomination. They survived !

Many of this bills are paid online, or with debit cards. So paying in 2nd decimal should not be a problemm

What they said they do not want to be hurry to implement this re denomination.
