Solar and windmills insignifiant...

When we first remodeled our house in Bandung before moving in, we set up a UPS, but it wasn’t useful for long.

I‘ve heard less than great stuff about Jackery reliability.

My wife went to see a Bluetti dealer today. I have a feeling we might go with a 1kwh unit at first. I’m sure pricing will come down a lot. The US versions seem to go on sale for about $300 per KWH of storage. Luckily, we can survive on fans, just keep a smaller fridge working, cpap machine and such.

I’ve encouraged my wife to have a 3 week supply of water bottles, cooking gas, rice, etc. In a real national emergency don’t count on quick help. Have plenty of shelf stable food.
