I guess most cases finish ok .

What I think is not good , is to depend on only one digital system (no backup) , like we hear about many companies having to stop operations due to their digital system's malfunction .

I think we have created a Monster with AI, Computers, and Robots! The Technology is becoming Smarter than We are. When AI starts developing itself, we won't understand it! I just heard Amazon is laying off thousands of workers and using Robots, and computers instead. Great for the Bosses, but Bad for Us! Just ask a Kid now, whats a dial up phone. They won't know!
I love Technology but, Not if it Dehumanizes Us All! Remember when we thought it would make life easier, and less complicated. now, It's so complicated we are losing our jobs to it!

In my view , people already created monsters long ago : atomic and other types of bombs , other weapons/arms of mass destruction , cannons , machine guns , ... AI may add things to that , but of course it is mostly intended to help increase the Economy . AI is already making rich people richer and probably will make the majority poorer (in my view) , so yes you can argue that even with a 'nice face' the many negatively affected may see it as a monster too .

I don't think so . I don't know much , but I guess that the big advantage of AI is that it can analyse , transform , ... existing data almost infinitely faster than us .

It seems you have a pending process that does not allow you do request any other process online . You may ask your Kantor Imigrasi if you can request the passport change manually/face-to-face .

Your problem in the evisa.imigrasi.go.id may require you to go to the Immigration Directorate (Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said, RT.16/RW.4, Kuningan, Karet Kuningan, Kecamatan Setiabudi, Kota Jakarta Selatan) , in the meantime you may continue to try to solve it through email (from https://www.imigrasi.go.id/hubungi) :

From what I checked (but not 100% sure that there is no newer rule) , there is no time limit for you to update your passport data (see related Regulation below) .

In the past many (including me) holding valid KITAS/KITAP entered Indonesia (before updating passport data) with the 2 passports (the old cancelled with the ITAS/ITAP stamp + the new one) , without problem , so your present situation may be safe if you do have the 2 passports .

I had write an email to the 3 emails you had provided and hope they can help me with it.

I wanted to update within the specific deadline but the system is disallowing me.

The agent wants to charge me 1.5 million IDR to just change the passport now.

That charge seems steep. I had passport updated and a permanent IMK done with the agent's charge of IDR 1.75 juta. The agent I used is in Bali. His name is Gede. As this is an online process he may be able to do this for you even though you are in Java. My processing was done by providing copies of relevant documents on line and did not have to visit his office. I suggests you call him ask what would be his charge to do this. If being in Java is a problem he may be able to recommend someone. You can tell him Harry Martin referred you.

This means that you paid yourself the Immigration official fees , how much was the official fee for the passport data change ? I am also curious because I recently made myself a change of address and it was free (I expected Immigration to charge Rp500k) .

If the Roytoh's agent's charge includes the Rp500k official Immigration fee , it is not too different from your agent's 1.75 million (for 2 Immigration processes) .

Yes, I had assumed that was just the agent's fee so perhaps Roytoh can enlighten us. Did the fee include the Rph 500,000 for the passport change?
