For a couple of million Rp you will find a lot of friends.

And btw sponsoring from Indonesian citizen means also guaranteeing for deportation costs from his side.

Update August 18, 2020.

The deadline for foreigners in Indonesia to obtain a stay permit or leave has been postponed to September 20, 2020, due to various difficulties faced in obtaining a stay permit or leaving.

The previous deadline was Aug 20th.

I might've missed an info somewhere...where do I get to apply for this emergency extension? My KITAP is expiring the end of this week (long story short I asked my agent if it was going to be a problem...he had said that once your kitap extension is processed, you're fine...and this was a week ago before i got the issues with (lack of) KTP OA, which is now also in process with dept Kehakiman etc. I did ask my agent again last night if I needed to do an emergency extension, he said no need...

Yes I am in Indonesia...
Granted this is from April 2020...but looks like every KITAP/KITAS holder is granted an emergency stay permit automatically without applying? I'm confused now...
For my original KITAP I did the whole thing myself...(changing from KITAS to KITAP)..but after a traumatic 4 1/2 months of dealing with the immigration before getting my KITAP, I'm back to giving my agent the work to do this one.

Expiring/expired KITAS/P are given automatic emergency stay permits until Sept 20th. DitjenIm has advised that application for extension should be submitted by Sept 14th at the latest, so if yours is in then nothing to worry about.

Here we go again....

Any forum members know the current status of the Emergency Stay Permit from Indonesian Immigration? We know that the Emergency Stay Permit have been extended until September 20, 2020. Not sure if the Immigration office is closed due to the recent Jakarta governor implementing the PSBB in Jakarta.

It would be nice to know if the tourist/foreigners/visa holders have been granted extension for the Emergency Stay Permit.

Any information regarding the currently Emergency Stay Permit will be highly grateful. We need to prepare to either apply for one-month visa, leave the country or hopefully extension of the Emergency Stay Permit from Indonesian Immigration.

Immigration is open. Nothing changed. You have until 20th to exit or to get a new visa. NEW. Not extensions. That's finished. And since they said they need a week to process then you should have applied already.

So if you haven't applied yet or don't have a flight then I'd be very worried.
Of course there is a government website in English that you can check anytime

www.imigrasi.go.id

If you were on an Emergency stay permit, you have until Sept 20th to process either a new visa or an extension. Some visas that are normally not extendable are now given extensions indefinitely until further notice. If you do get a new visa, you do not need to leave Indonesia to obtain it. Immigration has requested that all applications be submitted before today (Sept 14th) because visas takes 5 days to process.

So, my VOA expired during PSBB. I applied online just got a new b211a visa, still extendable 4 times. One problem is when I applied I didn't realize my sponsor would have to accompany to immigration for every extension, and he often works on a boat offshore for more than a month at a time. Another problem is, I was under the impression a visa agent could apply for my extensions on my behalf, but my immigration officer said it has to be me. Since I live in Karimunjawa, this is quite problematic for me.
Does anyone have experience with 1: using a visa agent to apply for social visa extensions and/or 2: renewing social visas when their sponsor is not able to come?

The deadline for foreigners stuck in Indonesia with emergency stay permits to sort their visa situation (or leave) has been extended to Oct 5th (from Sept 20th).
