No Domicile Anywhere in Indonesia

I'm wondering has anyone come across a situation like this.

When you move out of one place technically and get your exit papers from the kelurahan, they erase you from their system.

However when moving to the new place, you are not accepted by the new kelurahan and your exit papers have expired from the old kelurahan. Therefore, you are effectively without a domicile.

Where would one go from here to rectify the new situation?

We had to go back to the old area to get a document signed by the RT/RW/Kelurahan , so that they could install us in the new area upon presentation of said document

Start with the Pk RT - he should know you lived there.

Oh, I just read again- do you know why the new kelurahan didn't accept the papers?

This is a continuation of my thread a few weeks ago. The old RT couldn't cancel the exit papers after our landlord changed his mind. So my wife is no longer on the old RT's system.

The (unscrupulous) lady at the old RT
(who's shaken my wife down for close on 2.5 juta) told us it would be cancelled. However, she couldn't manage it and her exit papers have expired and she's no longer on the system there.

I would go to the new kelurahan & ask them what they suggest... nope , I tell lies- I would send my hubby & let him deal with it

Update: Finally managed to get a new set of exit documents from the old RT after my wife gave the lady concerned some verbal pyrotechnics.

So hopefully all is resolved now. Thanks for your ideas and help.
