Well in a previous thread I suggest that most Indonesian didn’t know where palastine was, when my wife left the mosque this evening after prayers , everybody was given a very large map of Palestine, I don’t really think she is any the wiser, but now I have a problem, where am I going to hang the bloody thing

No definitely Palestine, the picture was supplied by the “National Commttee For The Palestinian People” not heard of them before, but after prayers a short film showing the sufferings of the Palestinian people, she was a wee bit upset when she got home

Al Jazeera is running a documentary on the history and reasons for the Palestine/Israel problems....very interesting.
I confess to always having some empathy for Jewish people not having a homeland, and what they suffered by the Nazis, but recent events by Israel (under 'Bibi' Netanyahu) have tarnished my perspective.

Well Lawrence had some very strong opinions on how the Arab situation should be handled after the war, he was becoming very vocal and his opinions didn’t see eye to eye with the British government of the time, so some believe his fatal motor bike accident wasn’t an accident after all

I couldn't have a motorbike as a youth so I don't think that was ever in the picture. Even at the time the bikes cost as much as a small house?
