Good news for shopee customers. There will be new rules for sellers that should speed up the shipping process. If an order is placed before 12 noon, it must be shipped the same day. Orders received after 12:00 must be shipped the next working day.

That all sounds good until you get to the sellers who use drop shippers. While the sellers may be told when they need to ship, the companies that do the drop shipping do not come under the Shopee unbrella.

My most recent problems have been with the shipping company itself. Pay for same day delivery and even though it is picked up on time, it still doesn't come until the next day. Haven't had the problem with Grab or Gojek but the other shippers have problems meeting their timeline.

For next day delivery I use Paxel as often as it's offered. Half the price of JNE who is my only other choice. Normally arrives next early evening and only once did it go beyond next day and that time was delivered by 8 AM. JNE while twice the price has not shown up next day on numerous occasions. Their CS never seem to care and any inquirery gets answered after the package is finally delivered.

Ordered today at 10:47. Message from Shopee, Seller will ship by 15-2-23. That's 5 days, not same or even next day.

I ordered a phone holder for my motorbike. It got here it about four days. That's fine with me. But I do have a problem with cost of shipping. Sometimes the seller says free shipping but when I want to place my order there is a shipping fee! Once the seller said that Shopee was responsible. And sometimes when I was ordering vegetable and herb seeds the shipping was sometimes 3 times more expensive than the cost of the seeds! What's up with that?

On Shopee you have the options of choosing your shipper and the corresponding price. You also have coupon things that you need to go and physically check yourself. Not always automatic. Many times you will find that while they say free shipping, when you check you find that there are minimum amounts you must purchase to get partial to full shipping included and then is has to be by their shipper of choice. Shopee does not make it easy to navigate their checkout offers.

This day (Friday 9 february) was a tanggal merah, then you have Sat&Sun which are another 2 non-working days.

New kebijaksanaan will be in effect mulai 19 feb '24.

Saturday and Sunday non working days? Since when. Shopee delivers 7 days a week where I live and tell us that is between 8 AM and 10 PM. Latest we ever received was around 9 PM. The only delivery services that seem to take Sundays off are JNE and AnterAja.

Same with Tokopedia. Can choose your shipper and time of service. Doesn't mean the shipper will fulfill the deadline but at least you have the choice.

Easier to navigate and choose on Tokopedia.

Saturday and Sunday non working days? Since when. Shopee delivers 7 days a week where I live and tell us that is between 8 AM and 10 PM. Latest we ever received was around 9 PM. The only delivery services that seem to take Sundays off are JNE and AnterAja.

Are you saying that the sellers will not have product pick ups on weekends or processing the orders? Tokopedia sellers have pick ups on weekends and I have not seen any processing delays because it is a week end. I ordered today, a Saturday on both sites. Tokopedia's oder is processed and will be picked up today. Shopee is of course just listing that payment is received and seller has been notified. The Shopee order was placed about 2 hours before the Tokopedia one.

Sellers are not obliged to fulfill orders on tanggal merahs and during weekends. However, they are free to do so and many send out orders 7 days a week.

Yeah i ordered something on Thursday that was supposed to be on pre-order with a wait time of 7 days and they shipped it to me on Friday - both red days and no obligation of the seller (I've bought from them before and they are very professional)
