Meal Replacement Shakes

Well, it's a crash diet of course. An intake of 500-800 calories per day is very low. The high amount of proteins in these shakes should theoretically counter the 'hunger feeling'. (That did work after a couple of days, it was just very annoying to drink the same all the time.)

Now don't forget that nutritionist advice not to eat (a lot of) fruit. That's because of the sugars, even if they are natural.
& donate the cash you would waste to some good cause instead.

There is protein powder available in some parts of the mall. It's not too bad, just really expensive. I think I'll just have a shake and then a hard boiled egg on the side to get some protein.

A lot of the expensive protein powders are fancy bodybuilding products with amino acids, creatine, glutamine, and what not. You don't need the extra stuff. If you can find the cheapest brand that has nothing other than whey protein, that would work fine. Add a little flavor (fruit, vanilla, chocolate, etc.) and you're good.

.
And in the meantime....

In our local Borma store you can get bottles with rubber stopper or screw tops- you could buy a few of these for not very much money- I think they were about 4rb each.
Make up a batch of the smoothie and freeze it or chill it. Anyway - just ideas to cut down on wasting cash and also being environmentally friendly at the same time by re-using the containers.

Thanks, that's what I've done. And I found a website online that has a simple way of making green smoothies so they don't taste bitter. I was having trouble figuring out how many vegetables versus how much fruit and liquid base, etc. But I tried what this website recommended and it actually tastes pretty good. Thanks for all your help.
