Indonesia is willing to recognize Israel and enter into diplomatic relations if Tel Aviv recognizes an independent Palestinian state.

This was stated by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday.

Prabowo spoke these words during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, who was visiting Indonesia. (And got slapped in the face by his mom eh .. wife.)

According to Prabowo, Israel's security must be guaranteed, while France continues to express its support for steps towards independence of a Palestinian state.

I wonder where that Palestinian state would go. Israel's grabbed and settled so much of the West Bank there's not much room left.

If all the World boycotted Israel and Stopped giving them Money,Bombs, and All trade, then things would be different! It's OK to oppose what is happening in Gaza, and The West Bank! You don't have to support their genocide of the Palestinian People, and that's not Anti- Semitic!

Israel’s already taken over almost all of the yellow area and put settlements on most of that. There’s not really room left for a viable state unless the settlements are vacated, which isn’t likely.

Not completely correct though; under Biden there were sanctions against settlers in the West Bank and the UK also put some in place after violence against Palestinians.

But Netanyahu c.s. will never do anything differently without pressure from the US.

It’s a bit the same with a Eurovision Song Contest. Which probably doesn’t mean anything to people outside of that continent but it’s (still) huge.

Israel is, contrary to Russia, still allowed to participate. Same in sports of course.

They are technically very savvy (see the pagers attack), they found a way to influence the public vote, which is done by texting. Now there are inquieries how Israel could become second in the contest.
