It just clicked from your other thread that you're a teacher. Why not just try to snag a job at a language centre temporarily to get back on track and they should sort out a visa for you.

So how can you be here on a VOA when you posted about renewing it and about a school being the sponsor? Or are you talking about the 60 day extension in which case how and why are you being sponsored by the employer who fired you and you are trying to sue ? Sorry I am confused here.

No kitas anymore, my wife wouldnt extend it. so now im on a voa. Why go back to my home country when I have 2 kids here?

Thats a thought although their pay is absolutely horrible. lol

I was on a spouse sponsored kitas. Now after she wouldnt renew it I went to singapore and came back on a voa. At immigration they asked why I am here and not in Jakarta, so I told them I am in mediation with ******* school.

Very true! I have a few options better than a language school...that will be my last resort. But thanks for the suggestion!

No worries. Just banding about ideas. Hate seeing fellow expats put through the wringer (seen plenty of it living overseas for 16 years).

Because if you end up penniless or in trouble with immigration you won't be much use to them.

After hearing all these horror stories about you poor guys getting screwed over by ex wives makes me so glad I never married! The mom of my kids was a reasonable woman and we together decided not to use the kids as a tool to het revenge on each other. She paid when she had them and I paid when I had them. People have to understand the kids are the ones that suffer the most in bitter separations!

Completely agree, especially regarding this bit. It's crucial to bear in mind that children never choose to be brought into this world by their parents. Some children are born into vastly disadvantaged circumstances, lacking proper healthcare, nutrition, education and other basic necessities compared to other children.
