Today I picked up my E-KITAP did all of the leg work myself . . . and of course my lovely Indonesian wife did the majority of the work, thank goodness I have her by my side.

It took me 10 weeks as I started from zero as I was in the states when my wife applied for my VITAS on September 28th 2016. The KITAS to KITAP was very easy and took me 20 business days to complete. Getting the KITAS was the hardest as the documents required took so many trips to multiple offices around Jakarta.

I was curious how many KITAP holders we have on the forum, a KITAP club would be nice just a thought!

Thanks to so many on this forum for their help and advise keep up the good work!

KITAP holder *raises hand*.

Congrats on doing it in relatively reasonable amount of time (and by yourself)!

I have KITAP but wife (after talking to mertua) decided to use agent the same we use for all my kitas and sim. We were disappointed with the service he offered while doing kitap so.... probably our next time doing kitap would be by ourselves. It is highly encouraging to read stories like yours.

Congratulations on getting your KITAP. Mine is ready for me to go in for my photo. We will probably go there on monday. Then last time I could go back and pick up my KITAS a few days later, so maybe the same with the KITAP. This will be my first KITAP.

I have a ITAP & hubby has been trained up (with lots of valuable help from forum members) into being my "agent" :D
I just go do the stuff I have to do & have a chat with the gals down in KanIm whilst he takes his role seriously & does all the running around for documents and photocopies: he has it all in hand now & is like a sergeant major at renewal/processing time- we are still in the process of KTP/KK doings- but seems there is no rush. I got my ITAP about 8 months ago.

Same here on the KTP will be visiting the District Chief on Monday. What timeframe did they give you for completetion ?

I went on a Monday for photo and fingerprints and KITAP was ready Thursday late afternoon. Immigration said they are burried with KITAS applications so be prepared to wait a few days.

No time frame given- most of the documents are ready- it is just about having time spare to take a whole day out to go prat about with CapIl

I am about to apply for my spousal Kitap.

Does anyone know if they call you before coming out to your home for the interview or do they just show up?

I answered your first post about this in the other thread.

You have to call the field officer to schedule an interview
