I just read this and I think it is interesting- doctors are urging parents of youngsters to hang on to their baby teeth as a potential source of stem cells to help if the child gets sick when they are older.
Common sense really the way medical science is progressing- but maybe not something we would have thought about doing?

Cites a 2003 study, yet 13 years later I've still never heard of it as a common practice. Hmm. Oh, after being removed from the mouth the tooth has to be cryogenically frozen in a short period of time. Hmm. Oh, "Instead, parents can use services like Store-A-Tooth to properly preserve their children's teeth... If you'd like to know more about storing baby teeth for your kids or grandkids, check out Store-A-Tooth for more information." Ah, there it is, an advertisement posing as a health news article.

Well I would hope that people will use their noodles and research ways to store the teeth- wonder if a good old freezer would work?

Possibly a more common practice in Indonesia for storing baby teeth is to throw the old bottom teeth on the roof so the new bottom teeth grow up & to throw the old top teeth on the ground so the new top teeth grow down.

hahaha love it.

We kept a few of the kids first teeth that fell out, we were new parents doing all that gooey sentimental shit.
Now the boys are 12 we are well over all that sort of thing.

lol its more about having stem cells for use if illness strikes or if a leg drops off: my imagination takes it to this scenario- throw a few stem cells in a pot with a new shoe, say magic words and there you go a new leg. :D

And with that shoe, a matching size I would guess.

well I guess it depends on personal preference... there could well be someone out there with a pair of size 6s and really prefer a 6 & a 9...?

Hmmm...sounds like the tooth fairy has had the schnitz!!
