Iphone Screen lines

My daughter's Iphone 5 has developed a series of fine vertical lines. Everything else works fine and screen copy is still readable -- it is just annoying and an impediment to game playing. She swears she did not drop it or get it wet, but the phone may have gotten overly hot during our recent return flight.

Diagnostic speculation and repair suggests would be much appreciated. I paid $130 for the phone used 2 years ago; local repair shops want $100 to replace the screen which may or may not be a fix. What to do???

Hm... the same happened to my sister's iPad and I paid £90 to get it replaced. Not sure if that's something you would like to do considering you paid $130 for it.

$130 two years ago? Just cut your losses and invest that $100 into a new phone, like a used iPhone 6. It's gonna cost you an additional $250, but it's a much better phone.

You may have missed my reply in the other thread. Basically, I fixed a friend's iPhone 4S last week: replaced the screen for 500rb including service. 3 month guarantee. Process took 30mn. I did it at Dr. Gadget at Aeon mall BSD.
