In my personal opinion, although he appears to excel in promoting religious tolerance, no history of involvement in corruption scandals have been reported, he has not yet shown a robust track record or demonstrated significant courage in the fight against corruption.

If he can establish his trustworthiness, there is a possibility that the succession could follow the model seen in Singapore under Lee Kuan Yew. Even if he doesn't succeed in this term, there might be an opportunity for him to do so in the next term. This mirrors the succession pattern observed when Goh Chok Tong succeeded Lee Kuan Yew as Prime Minister, and subsequently, Lee Hsien Loong, the son of Lee Kuan Yew, assumed the premiership.

Diference is that Lee Hsien Loong became prime miniser when he was 50+ years, was educated in Cambridge and Harvard, was in armed forces 1971-1984 being the youngest Brigadier General and so on.

The Crown Prince, form the other side, has no significant track record-he is a mayor of a small town and was educated in second-tier university and his path in business is not stellar at all.

True, but it has not been publicly announced. Keep in mind previously there were a few vice presidential candidates for PS. The breaking news today is the VP confirmation to public.

Gibran really has no track record of accomplishments of his own doing. They will claim this or that improvement in Solo being an accomplishment but in reality, all pluses were implemented, bought, and paid for by the Central Government. (Daddy) These things are already being reported on and I'm sure will be used in campaigns. Jokowi and family have pretty much pissed off the PDI-P and if anyone should know the power of the dragon lady, it is Jokowi, SBY, and Prabowo. Jokowi would have been smart to stay within those promoting him to take the reins of PDI-P over from Megawati and kept everyone in house. No, Puan will never have the support even if that's Megawati's desire.
