Well that was bizarre.

As long as I knew the snake wasn't poisonous, that wouldn't bother me a bit. I might pretend it did, though, just to yank the chain of the polisi....at least it would keep them busy "torturing" me so they wouldn't stop and think of ways to torture me.

The Papuans have been complaining about these 'interrogation techniques' for quite some time. Of course there's much more going on than just showing a snake to a cell phone thief. The racial and politically inspired brutality against locals has been a big issue for human rights groups worldwide.
