I really feel that we often dwell on the negative side of connection here.
I just wanted to give a big shout out to Indihome for their exceptional customer service.
I woke just before 4 am to prepare for a packed day ahead, no internet.
I tried all the usual stuff.
Just after 5 am, I connected with Indihome's CS on their website.
I "took a ticket", my internet was fixed, back up & running within 30 minutes.
Impressive.
 
Indihome has improved and continued to improve. There was a time once when their technicians outright told me to get another internet service provider if I'm still not happy with them.

First Media on the other hand has declined and become very sales-oriented. Ie. the best solution they can offer to a problem is to upgrade to a more expensive cable tv or internet package.
 
It has since crashed again... an engineer is "on the job" now.
 
I had Indihome in Central Java. They were outstanding, and never took a whole day for "maintenance".
 
our Indihome tech has always been outstanding. I also recently got a service upgrade from 20 to 30 mbps down. No text it was just faster one day :)
 
Meanwhile my First Media is down again for...oooh the 10th time since July.
 
First Media is down daily for me.
Daily since when? That ain't right. I had that problem maybe a couple years ago it was down for few days at times. Usually the standard response "Masalah jaringan".
 
Had Telkom/ Indihome here in South East Java for 3 + years , constant connection dropouts , lost connection everytime it rained due to leaks in the main board at the local exchange and connection boxes throughout the village , had the cable repaired several times after breakages where they'd just hung it between trees across the road and trucks with high loads had caught it and broken it . Got to the point where I wouldn't pay unless they replaced the cable and mounted it higher over roads to stop the constant breakages , they refused. Checked out a few other providers and ended up with Queen-Net . 350,000rp for the modem and connection and 100,000rp a month for 21mbps . Telkom/Indohome cost me over 3million rupiah for connection and was 250,000rp a month for a service that rarely got higher than 2-3mbps . Had it for just on a year now without one hiccup . excellent service ,local technicians . AND OPTIC FIBRE CABLE. When I stripped out the old Telkom/ Indihome cable it was 2 core copper NOT OPTIC FIBRE as per there advertisement and the written contract . I also found out I had payed for 1500meters of cable from the exchange to my house when they originally connected and they'd spliced into it to run cables to other customers , Sent an email to there head office complaining about the service and the cable not being optic fibre and the technicians splices into my cable to service other customers . Never recieved a reply and haven't heard from them again regarding the outstanding bill . Also changed my mobile phone provider after "Telkomsel again " where allowing scam sms services to access my number reducing my credit with every sms recieved . There call and sms cost where also nearly triple of other providers . TELKOMSEL would have to be the worst and most expensive provider in Indonesia !!

Check your cable , I found 2 core copper cable when I cancelled my service and removed the cable after 3 + years of constant problems , not the advertised and contracted Fibre Optic they claim to use . There prices are double that of better providers as well for both Home Internet/WiFi and mobile phone . Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy !!
