Hi There,

I'm new to this forum and would like to know and understand more about public holiday entitlements for employees during the period of Idul Fitri. What are the typical entitlements for employees (assuming native muslims) in Indonesia during this period? From my understanding, it seems that it hovers between 2 days, or up to 7 days. What is the actual practice?

How does this practise defer across public and government agencies?

Hope to gain some insights and thanks for all assistance!

If you are talking about the public holidays they are 29/03 - 01/04
There is the cuti bersama (shared leave) holidays on the 28/03, 02/04-07/04. Not everyone gets the shared leave.

Finally - if the staff are home helpers they sometimes take even longer at this time to travel to their hometown as its possibly the only holiday they will take all year.

So it depends on the type of employee/ business.
