Honda and Yamaha Guilty of Price Fixing

Indonesia's anti-monopoly agency said on Monday that two companies that make and distribute Yamaha and Honda motorbikes there were guilty of price-fixing.

The tribunal fined Yamaha Indonesia 25 billion rupiah (S$2.698 million) and Astra Honda 22.5 billion rupiah.

It'll be interesting to see how the agency proof the price fixing. This is a very contentious issue since to engage in price-fixing, 2 firms don't even need to have any direct communication. Just by watching their competitor's price, a firm can determine their own price internally to maximize their own profit. Hence, when can an internal model that takes competitors' price into account veer into price-fixing and when is it just straight up normal practice?
