Back in the days when I had no children, I used my cats as child-substitutes so that I could give a facile answer without thinking ... "yes, I have two ... ages 5 and 3 ... both girls."

I'm not generally a fan of lying, but it made life a lot easier.

Shortly followed by "what religion is your wife", and then it gets awkward, so I just tell them I'm not going to talk about religion because Indonesians get too sensitive about it.

I apologise for the snide behaviour of some of the members in here.
They still have much to learn about Indonesian people, perhaps.


As you will discover by reading the posts in the forum, there is a diverse mix of people who use the forum.
Some are foreigners who are new to Indonesia, some have been here years and adapted well. Some have been here years and learnt nothing. Some are Indonesian, so please don't assume all the forum members need an Indonesian guide. This really isn't much of a tourist website.

& Yes, I do like your response to snpark. He can take a chunk of patience to deal with at times

Haha yes, when in a taxi or grab / go car it is often like an interrogation for us foreigners by the driver.
