It's still possible on a spouse sponsored KITAS/KITAP but it is getting more and more difficult. Its pretty much depends on how the local BPJS office interprets the rules, since they are kinda vague. If you have a strong will and a bit of luck it's possible in some cases.Well getting BPJS was so easy for me, I didn't have to go anywhere neither my wife everything was done on call and she got my BPJS card on her office desk within a week, may be because of my wife position as she is Civil Servant.
I think it's a privilege for Civil servant official only to get their WNA spouse on the BPJS or may be i am wrong as I don't have more info about it. You can ask the local concerned authority.
Note I am on first year of my KITAS
And yeah civil servants, with all due respect, have a lot of privileges and also a lot of contacts.
