Now, they are profiting from a memoir that some argue exposes sensitive information and potentially threatens national security. They're making multi millions from this memoir, capitalising on his former royal status while claiming to want to lead an ordinary life. It's a clear display of hypocrisy.

My understanding of the current situation is that IF he and family are invited to the UK they still get the "old" security.
Currently they can't simply fess up.
I'm sure if they wanted to ,say, go to Balmoral for Xmas and stay on the estate their security would be fine. Same would go for summer at Sandringham. The kids would enjoy it.

But as has been said he can't have everything.
